FUN Girls Weekend!

Several weekends ago, a week after Campbell's fifth birthday...she and I loaded the car on Thursday a.m and took off for a fun filled 3 days to Cleveland/Chattanooga and Atlanta...Mary Kate stayed with my parents so Campbell and I could spend time together. She had been asking for another American Girl doll and some other AG accessories for her birthday....so I decided to surprise her and I told her on her birthday that she would get to go get those things at the actual American Girl store! She was so excited......but had to wait a whole week! So...back to the trip....on Thursday evening we got to Chattanooga and met my best friend Alisha and her baby Aubry at The Melting pot for some yummy fondue dinner........then back to her house in Cleveland to get some much needed sleep to get us ready for a full Friday in Atlanta!!!!

Friday a.m Campbell woke asking are we going today??? I said yes we are ....get ready!!! So after an almost 2 hour drive from Alisha's house to the American Girl store....this is Campbell as soon as she got out of the car...with her doll Aubry and stroller.....can you tell she was excited?????

We had made reservations to eat lunch at the American Girl Bistro....it was so cute that they even have cute little pink chairs to accomadate your dolls at the table too! It really was such a FUN place!!!

After we got back to Alisha's house...she surprised Campbell with an Americna Girl Atlanta shirt for her and her dolls as well so gthey could all match!!!

About to head home Saturday morning .....after some wonderful girls time! We missed Mary Kate...but it was very nice for Campbell and I to get some quality time together. She already is talking about going back and taking Mary Kate.

Birthday Night Dinner, cake and presents......

After a very BIG day celebrating at pre school...we ate birthday lunch with Nana and her assistants at Inman....then went to get ready for more celebrating that night. Grammy made the birthday cake...a purse...so cute and very Campbell!!!
We are so lucky to have Grammy make all the birthday cakes....she is so talented and they are YUMMO!!!

Birthday at Preschool

I woke up Thursday morning thinking...5 years ago at this exact time I was in Murray hospital waiting to go in and have my sweet baby Campbell! Where has the time gone....she is 5 years old!!! This has been an extremley emotional week for me...5 just seems SO BIG.....like she is completley no longer in the baby years. I cannot believe she will go to Kindergarten in the fall!

So thursday at preschool she got to celebrate with all of her little friends and wonderful teachers! I had not been there on a birthday day before so I was so excited to see what they did. She also got to bring snack for everyone that day....she picked out scrabble cheez-its, grapes and capri suns!

This is when she picked 5 friends to be her candles on her cake and the class sang the traditional "Happy Birthday" song.....so cute!

Then she got to pick a new gift out of Ms. Angie's birthday box....she picked sidewalk chalk with holder.

She then got to lead the class in the prayer before snack.

EXTREMLEY last minute park party

Well since back in the fall Campbell has said she really wanted a park party.....well I kept telling her we would have to see...and then the closer her bday drew near I told her if that is what she wanted she would have to wait till it got warmer...and she was good with that. Well last Saturday it was a beautiful sunny 64 degree day....and I was thinking wow....sure would have been nice to have it this weekend.....well then I thought guess its not to late. So I started calling to see if her friends could come Sunday afternoon(because it was supposed to be 65 again)....and surprisingly enough all but a couple could...so I went for it...and keeping it a surprise from her! I also go to church with Tony Lawrence(park director)...so was able to find out Sat night that the pavillion wasn't rented for Sunday afternoon.
I was able to order cake from Walmart Sat night....and get all of the food, drinks, etc as well. With my brother still working at Schemes and Themes...we were able to get a bouncer at the park as well. Let me just say....the party went very well considering it was thrown together in less than 24 hours! She was completley surprised when we got to the park and she realized the party was for her.
